Description Position Overview: Working as part of the Shop Team, the Tire and Lube Technician/Installer is responsible for the following:
Key Responsibilities:
Tire and Lube Services
Performs Oil & filter changes.
- Perform complete multi-point inspection on vehicle & check & mark all required items on check list as required & present findings to the Service Advisor.
- Replaces oil and air filters.
- Inspects vehicle fluid levels, replaces or replenishes as necessary.
- Checks tire pressure and adds air if needed.
- Lubricates moving parts with specified lubricants.
- Tire mounting/balancing, rotations and repairs on personal and commercial vehicles.
- Communicates with Service Advisor to obtain needed parts.
- Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor. • Documents all work performed on the repair order.
- Ensures that customers’ cars are kept clean.
- Notifies Service Advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
- Keeps the shop area neat and clean.
- Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Report any safety issues immediately to management.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Customer Service
- Provide explanation and recommendation for repairs or replacement of tires
- Ensure customer vehicle is kept clean and free from any damages while in our possession
- Take ownership of your repairs and strive to ensure all necessary components are completed to ensure customer satisfaction and zero return-defects
General
- Full-time position, 8 hours a day with a 1 hour unpaid break/lunch & 2 15 minute breaks.
- Follow all Health & Safety requirements
Skills/Qualifications required:
- Some previous experience/knowledge in the automotive trade preferred.
- We are willing to train the right applicant and further their automotive career.
- Lube experience would be preferred.
- Able to take direction and complete tasks as assigned
- Willingness to learn
- Able to multi-task and handle multiple priorities on a daily basis
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Physically capable of lifting and moving items up to +50 lbs
- Must be available to work full-time.
- Must be punctual and reliable.

Expected hours: 40 per week

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Experience:
- Lube: 1 year (preferred)
- Tire: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Class 5 (required)
