Description Position Overview: Working as part of the Shop Team, the Tire and Lube Technician/Installer is responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities:

Tire and Lube Services

Performs Oil & filter changes.

  • Perform complete multi-point inspection on vehicle & check & mark all required items on check list as required & present findings to the Service Advisor.
  • Replaces oil and air filters.
  • Inspects vehicle fluid levels, replaces or replenishes as necessary.
  • Checks tire pressure and adds air if needed.
  • Lubricates moving parts with specified lubricants.
  • Tire mounting/balancing, rotations and repairs on personal and commercial vehicles.
  • Communicates with Service Advisor to obtain needed parts.
  • Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor. • Documents all work performed on the repair order.
  • Ensures that customers’ cars are kept clean.
  • Notifies Service Advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
  • Keeps the shop area neat and clean.
  • Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Report any safety issues immediately to management.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Customer Service

  • Provide explanation and recommendation for repairs or replacement of tires
  • Ensure customer vehicle is kept clean and free from any damages while in our possession
  • Take ownership of your repairs and strive to ensure all necessary components are completed to ensure customer satisfaction and zero return-defects

General

  • Full-time position, 8 hours a day with a 1 hour unpaid break/lunch & 2 15 minute breaks.
  • Follow all Health & Safety requirements

Skills/Qualifications required:

  • Some previous experience/knowledge in the automotive trade preferred.
  • We are willing to train the right applicant and further their automotive career.
  • Lube experience would be preferred.
  • Able to take direction and complete tasks as assigned
  • Willingness to learn
  • Able to multi-task and handle multiple priorities on a daily basis
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving items up to +50 lbs
  • Must be available to work full-time.
  • Must be punctual and reliable.

Salary: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • Lube: 1 year (preferred)
  • Tire: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Class 5 (required)
